Horror film journalist Sean Decker joins I Spit On Your Grave star Sarah Butler and more to help raise money for Los Angeles women battling press cancer.
(September 5, 2010) Horror actresses will unite on October 24th, 2010 for the 6th Annual Bowling For Boobies, a charity bowling event run by The Busted Foundation, which serves to assist local Los Angeles women battling breast cancer, at Jillian’s Hi-Life at Universal City Walk, Universal City, CA.

The actresses’ bowling team – named ‘The Horror Starlets’ – has been assembled by Dreadcentral.com film journalist Sean Decker, and is comprised of Decker and actress Sarah Butler, star of the October 8th Anchor Bay Entertainment unrated theatrical release I Spit On Your Grave, Ashlynn Yennie (The Human Centipede), scream queen Bianca Barnett (Albino Farm), producers and actresses Tracy Coogan (Dark Woods, Zombie Honeymoon) and Brooke Lewis (iMurders, Slime City Massacre), Wicked Lake’s Carlee Baker and the as-of-yet unannounced winner of the currently running VH1 reality series Scream Queens 2. Other celebrity bowlers slated for attendance include the Go Go’s Jane Wiedlin and Reno 911’s Thomas Lennon.

From Sean Decker- This writer is asking the horror community as we approach October – our month of months – to unite for a good cause: to support local Los Angeles women battling breast cancer by giving a small donation and also support the horror actresses who are supporting them.

For the last couple of years I’ve been involved directly with Bowling for Boobies (a non-profit fundraiser which provides monetary assistance to L.A. women who are experiencing financial challenges as the result of fighting and living with breast cancer). It’s been a vastly rewarding experience as the money BFB generates goes directly to someone struggling with this deadly disease, NOT some ambiguous research society.

This year we’re at it again with the 6th Annual Bowling for Boobies, which culminates on October 24th in Los Angeles at Jillian’s Hi-Life at Universal City Walk with a red carpet followed by an evening of bowling. Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go’s will be on hand to knock down some pins with ‘The Horror Starlets’ bowling team, which is comprised this year of myself and actress Sarah Butler, star of the October 8th Anchor Bay Entertainment unrated theatrical release I Spit on Your Grave, Ashlynn (of the award-winning Human Centipede) Yennie, scream queen Bianca (Albino Farm) Barnett, producers and actresses Tracy (Dark Woods, Zombie Honeymoon) Coogan and Brooke (iMurders, Slime City Massacre) Lewis, Wicked Lake and Lucky McKee’s upcoming Offspring: The Woman’s Carlee Baker, and the as-of-yet unannounced winner of the currently running VH1 reality series “Scream Queens 2″.

Macabre Cafe Productions, the company behind the Macabre Cafe late night talk show, Macabre Cafe Radio Show and most recently the short film Crazed will be producing a short horror film/commerical and website for the hard rock band CKY’s annual concert, Hellview. This project has been approved by the band and is 100% official. The video will be approximately 10 minutes in length. Funds are needed to secure web space and design and also for video/lighting/audio equipment rentals, special effects and to secure a solid cast and crew. Actress Bianca Barnett has signed on to play one of the main characters in this video so we will also need funding to pay her and pay for her travel and lodging expenses. So come on, let’s make this happen. Help be a part of something big!
